Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

Prodigent ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you visit prodigent.ai or use our application at app.prodigent.ai.

Information we collect

The information we collect depends on how you interact with Prodigent.

Website visitors

When you browse our marketing site, we may collect basic usage data through Google Analytics, such as pages viewed, approximate location, browser type, and referring URL. We use this to understand how people find and use the site.

If you are signed in to Prodigent, our site may read a lightweight cookie (prodigent_authenticated) set by the app so we can show relevant sign-in or open-app links. This cookie does not contain your name or email.

Account and product data

When you create an account or use Prodigent, we collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, profile photo, and password (stored in hashed form). If you sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information from Google according to the permissions you grant.

As you use the product, we store the content you and your teammates create — including workspaces, initiatives, events, decisions, snapshots, and related metadata — so the service can function as intended.

Integrations and payments

If you connect Slack, we store OAuth tokens and the Slack messages or threads you choose to send into Prodigent, along with links back to the original Slack content.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We receive billing-related identifiers from Stripe (such as customer and subscription IDs) but do not store your full payment card details on our servers.

Contact and support

When you submit our contact form or reach out for support, we collect the name, email address, and message content you provide so we can respond.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Prodigent
  • Authenticate you and manage your account
  • Process subscriptions and communicate about billing
  • Respond to questions, feedback, and support requests
  • Send service-related emails, such as account verification or security notices
  • Generate AI-assisted features within the product, such as snapshots and Ask
  • Monitor usage, diagnose issues, and protect against abuse
  • Understand aggregate trends on our marketing site

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your workspace content to train general-purpose AI models.

AI processing

Certain Prodigent features send relevant product context to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to generate summaries, snapshots, or answers. We send only the information needed for the specific request. These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies.

How we share information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

  • With your team. Content you add to a workspace is visible to other members of that workspace according to their roles.
  • Service providers. We use trusted vendors to host infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, provide analytics, and power AI features. They may access data only to perform services on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Prodigent, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers. If Prodigent is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

Data retention

We retain account and workspace data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize associated personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or backup purposes.

For detailed retention periods, archival and removal procedures, and storage practices, see our Data Retention Policy, Data Archival and Removal Policy, and Data Storage Policy.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can update your profile information in the app at any time. You can delete your account from your profile settings. To disconnect Slack, use Account → Integrations in the app.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on our marketing site by using a browser extension or privacy settings that block analytics cookies.

To exercise other privacy rights or ask questions about this policy, please contact us.

Children

Prodigent is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

International users

Prodigent is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
