Double Diamond
- Diverge on problem, converge on definition
- Diverge on solutions, converge on delivery
- Good for: design-led teams, workshops
- Risk: slow if every phase becomes a gate
Opportunity Solution Tree
- Outcome → opportunities → solutions → experiments
- Good for: continuous discovery with Teresa Torres-style cadence
- Risk: tree grows faster than you prune
- Jobs to Be Done — clarifies motivation when behavior seems irrational
- Assumption mapping — surfaces what to test first on a new bet
- RICE / ICE — prioritization after discovery, not a substitute for learning
