Conducting spikes and research is great but you need to ensure that the feedback from Engineering informs the product requirements.
Where do requirements, assumptions, or decisions most often get lost or misunderstood?
Anytime you are relying on one person's interpretation to match anothers, you're going to run into issues. Everybody has a slightly different perspective, they care or are focused on different things. It's not even big things like Engineers vs Designers but it can be as small as what certain things mean to one another.
